My name is Nick. I’m a software engineer, and a growing share of my work happens in collaboration with LLMs: writing code, pressure-testing designs, and learning new domains faster than I could alone.

This site is the working set of prompts and AI personas I actually use. Nothing here is aspirational: everything earned its place by being reached for more than once. The prompts are templates for getting useful work out of a model. The personas are system prompts that shape how it behaves, which I’ve found is the higher-leverage thing to get right. The notes are the longer-form writing behind both: how the models work, what they cost, and where they fail.
