Assembly

Monday, September 21, 2026

Eight-panel comic. Panel 1, titled "Assembly": a living room with a big cardboard box labeled "Some assembly required, robot kit, 1,204 pieces," the instructions on the floor, and Nick looking at it. Panel 2: a half-built red robot on treads among scattered bricks. Panel 3: the robot's black screen lights up and two eyes appear for the first time; Nick is wide-eyed. Panel 4: Nick holds up an empty bag labeled "Arms x2": "They didn't ship the arms." Panel 5: they look at each other in silence. Panel 6: Nick, grinning: "Guess you can't join the ARM-Y." Panel 7: silence; the robot just looks at him. Panel 8: the robot: "I don't have arms."
